Bridgestone / Firestone Motorcycle Tires.

Bridgestone Tire Company History

Bridgestone Americas Holding, Inc and its subsidiaries is a manufacturer  of tires on the international scene.  It has more than 45 facilities for production spread throughout North and South America.  The largest subsidiary of  the Bridgestone Corporation is based in Nashville, Tennessee.  The parent company is located in Tokyo, Japan.

The Firestone Tire and Rubber Company was conceived by Harvey S Firestone, age 31 years, in 1900.  He began tire production in Akron, Ohio with a meager 12 employees.   Thirty years later in 1931, Shojiro Ishibashi whose name in Japanese translates to English with the meaning of 'stone bridge' reversed his name to create the company name of Bridgestone Tire Company LTD.

Bridgestone America believes in and carries on the program of quality begun by the original founders.  A blend of business methods from both Japan and America means products which have a reputation for the top quality customers are looking for.

Both Firestone and Bridgestone have corporate mottos which reflect the admirable vision carried by the founders.  Shojiro Ishibashi. Bridgestone wants to "Serve Society with Superior Quality." while Harvey Firestone was dedicated to the goal of "Best Today - Still better Tomorrow."

Motorcycle tires are just one segment of the vast variety of tires this company produces and distributes all across the globe.

Motorcycle Racing

Bridgestone motorcycle tires are certainly tested by their ability to win races.  The race track becomes the test track.  Bridgestone/Firestone tires are extensively tested by participation in Formula One, IRL, CART and other less well-known competitions.  They believe in testing their  technology  in the highest stress conditions so that their tires will  perform in extreme conditions or  in your neighborhood, on the interstate, and on the race track.

Bridgestone  uses a revolutionary tread system which helps tires to grip even when the pavement is wet and the tire is somewhat worn.  The performance is not lost as the tread wears down during use.  UNI-T AQ  and UNI-T AQ II tires with its additional enhancements provides even stronger performance during the entire life of the tire .

Technology

Bridgestone America  is known as a world leader in the field of tire technology.  In addition to the world production of tires all helping to advance tire technology, they  are constantly in search of the stimulation which comes from improving records made in previous race wins.  Public research and demonstration centers helps  to maintain this companies cutting edge.

Popular Models

Bridgestone produces tires to fit  many racing machines as well as tires  for street bikes.  BMW, Honda and Honda's Goldwing are just three of the popular brands.  You can also get Bridgestone motorcycle tires for Kawasaki, Yamaha, Valkyrie and Suzuki. All are race tested and approved. Their motorcycle tires are available in most popular sizes.

Bridgestone / Firestone  are not cheap, throwaway tires which appear on so many bargain web sites.  These are quality  motorcycle tires.  These are the top quality tires you've come to know and trust to preform on the track and off. Please visit our online catalog for more specific information.
