Dunlop Motorcycle Tires.

Dunlop motorcycle tires are likely the predominant tire used on motorcycles today. Sport bikes as well as cruisers are fitted with Dunlop tires. This tire company started in 1889 in Buffalo NY. Dunlop tires have a rich racing history spanning  back to its inception in 1889. Dunlop first introduced its pneumatic tire in race competition that year and has dominated motorcycle racing ever since. Dunlop has dominated racing in both the motocross as well as the road racing circuit. It is no wonder that these tires are found on a majority of sport bikes today. This company has won more AMA National Championships in almost every category then any other tire manufacturer.

Due to Dunlop’s rich racing history their tires are always on the forefront of technology. Dunlop initiated the use of aramid belts in motorcycle tires as well as being responsible for the first original equipment radial tire. The new Dunlop D208 ZR is a direct result of race proven technology for street use. This sport radial tire provides street handling characteristics with a racetrack level grip.

In addition to producing race quality tires for sport bikes for street use Dunlop also focuses on quality OEM replacement tires for all motorcycle owners. For example the D206 Elite is a high mileage tire for Honda Valkyrie owners. The D207 ZR is a high performance OEM replacement tire for the V-Rod by Harley Davidson.

A majority of motorcycle manufacturers use Dunlop tires on their bikes as standard equipment. You can find Dunlop motorcycle tires stock  on the following bikes: Aprilia, BMW, Buell, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Victory, and Yamaha. Dunlop has also partnered with Harley Davidson to produce a series of Harley Davidson logo tires. This just goes to show how well respected this company is in the motorcycle industry.

If you are in the market for a quality tire no matter if you are an avid sport rider or just like to go and cruise Dunlop makes a tire to fit your needs.
