I got a 2003 (100th anniversay) Electra Glide Standard. Just rolled up 8,600 miles on bike, and the Dunlop tire that came on the rear is already slick! I took the bike to my dealer on Wednesday, November 14th, 2007. I had a new Michelin Commander rear tire installed! And gentlemen after only about 300 miles on this tire, i can tell you that there is no comparision between the Dunlop and the Michelin. With the Michelin, i get a much, much smoother and softer ride, then i did with the Dunlop. When i go over some of the same roads and bumps with the Michelin , i get a much smoother and softer ride! There is no comparision between the two. I'm truly sold on the Michelin as of now. The real story will be to see how many miles i get out of the Michelin. But i figured anything had to last longer then 8,600 miles.
