A motor bike is a new novel
way to get around in a time where everyone has become more energy conscious.
Motorized bikes are simply a combination of a bicycle with a small gas
powered motor attached. Electric powered bicycles are also starting to
emerge.
A motor bike of this nature can have a range of
around 150miles or so on a single gallon of gasoline. Also most states do not
require you to have a license to operate a motorized bicycle which
makes this a great way to get around in places like college campuses or perhaps
a large warehouse facility or complex of some kind.
We currently distribute MoBike powered bicycles
which can either come completely assembled minus the handle bars and foot
petals. Other then those two the bike is fully assembled. We do also carry
motorized bike kits for those do it yourselfers out there. We can provide you
with assembly instructions on how to put one of these kits together.
Mobike is basically a bike with a motor as well as
a drive system mounted on to a bicycle. Currently two different motors are
available for these bikes. We offer a 49cc or an 80cc motor. These are 2 cycle
engines with a range of about 150 miles per gallon. The 49cc motor will reach
speeds of 15mph and its bigger counterpart will reach about 25mph top
speed.
To start one of these motor bikes you simply
start peddling and let out the clutch to start the motor. This simple trick
eliminates the need for any bulky batteries or complicated ignition system. You
use your own energy to start the bike and then your on your way without any more
effort.
If you decide you want to kill the power or you
run out of gas the MoBike can be simply ridden as a regular bicycle by simply
killing the motor and locking the clutch assembly in neutral. Its that simple to
switch to riding under your own power.
Maintenance on a motor bike of this kind is fairly
simple. You will need to adjust the chain on occasion. Since this is a motor
bike they spark plug will need to be changed periodically.
MoBike offers a complete line of accessories and
replacement parts for their bikes.
