Ever wanted a backseat for your cruiser you can just take on and off with ease?
Well I did and I have had my eye on a Phantom pads motorcycle seat for a passenger for a while now. Since one of my customers decided he wanted one for his cruiser I got the chance to order some in and take a look at these things up close. I got his in and liked it so much I put one on my Moto Guzzi chopper!
Phantom Pads basically make what I like to call lick it and stick it motorcycle seats for a passenger. They are really simple to take on and off and do not damage your paint. Simply stick the seat on and then remove it when you want to solo by just pulling it off. Phantom Pads stay in place by the use of 6 suction cups which are strategically placed on the bottom of the seat. You don’t have to lick them or anything and actually they recommend you don’t. Just push down on the seat and it will stick right to the fender with ease! Once on the seat is really stable and stays on without any issues.
The selection on these motorcycle seats is great, not only do they have different colors and designs but also a good variety of sizes allowing you to get a rear seat that is the right size for you. Sizes range from a small rear seat measuring 10" L x 6" W to 11" L x 9" W. If you have a picky passenger and comfort is an issue you might want to upgrade to a Phantom Pad with a gel pad insert. It will run you more but the passenger will be way more comfy and you won’t hear all that bitching coming up from behind ya!
The Designs on Phantom Pads back seats are anything from plain black with or without studs to flames, skulls, tribal, and a faux ostrich to an eagle design. One is bound to fit the style you are looking for that will jive with the look of your ride. These seats range from around $130 to $145 dollars for the standard versions with out the gel pad.
