This Suomy Spec 1R Extreme Bostrom 05 Helmet weighs in at just 1,250 grams. Making it the lightest race approved helmet available. The this helmet is constructed with a enhanced composite fiber weave shell construction with sound absorbing polymers. Dynamically variable resistance crush zones are designed in to the EPS liner. The liner on extreme spec 1r helmets is made from alcantara which is a luxurious fabric that offers the highest levels of softness, comfort, quality and has superior moisture wicking, cooling and durability. The liner and cheek pads are interchangeable for a custom fit. They can also be removed and washed. The spec 1r extreme features a ram air ventilation system which forces air in to a specially designed interior channel system for maximum cooling when the vents are open. Intake vents can be closed for cool weather riding. Air wedge top diffuser works with the ram air system to extract warm air from the interior of the helmet. The wedge also minimizes helmet lift at even at high speeds. Features a ultra tech face shield that has a translucent opalescent iridium finish with special hydrophobic coating that allows water to easily roll of the shield. An anti IR face shield coating blocks heat to keep the riders face cool. Face shield has a state of the art anti fog coating. Helmet features a safety lock visor system, oversized sponge cervical neck roll, removable breath deflector and superior state of the art helmet graphics and a clear coat finish. Race approved by every major US motorcycle organization; DOT and BSI 6658 Type A (British Standards Institution) Certified.
